国際交流室は12月12日、ALTのキャロリン・フランク先生を講師に、今年度2回目となる異文化理解講座を開催しました。
She talked about her own experience as a Canadian who has visited many countries and lived in Japan for the last 2 ½ years. She spoke as follows.
The best way to know about the world and your country is to go abroad. You can think about new culture and think about your own culture. You can easily see what is good or bad, the same and different. One of the most important things when you go to another country is to be flexible. You must accept things, ideas, and people as they are. This is very difficult to do, but to grow as a person and understand the world, it is the most important thing to learn.
