令和8年8月17日、学校設定科目「海外研修」を履修している8名の1年生がベトナム現地研修へと旅立ちました。研修先であるホーチミン市では、JETROホーチミン事務所やVietstar Meiden、Binon Cacao Park、Duc Tri高校などを訪れ、企業見学や現地の方々との講話・交流を通じて、生きた学びを得る貴重な機会となりました。
On August 17, eight first-year students set off for Vietnam as part of the "Overseas Studies" course. During their time in Ho Chi Minh City, the group engaged in immersive learning experiences through site visits, lectures, and cultural exchanges at various key locations, including the JETRO Ho Chi Minh Office, Vietstar Meiden Corporation, Binon Cacao Park, and Duc Tri High School.
18日（火）午前 JETROホーチミン事務所訪問 Visit to JETRO Ho Chi Minh office
日本貿易振興機構（JETRO）ホーチミン事務所では、村瀬拓哉様より講義をしていただきました。同事務所では学生グループの訪問対応も行っておられますが、主に大学生が対象であり、高校1年生の受け入れは珍しいとのことでした。そのような中、高校生向けに貴重な機会を設けていただいたことに心より感謝申し上げます。講義では、日越間の貿易・投資支援というJETROの役割に加え、ASEANから見たベトナムの経済情勢や地域特性、現地の消費行動や市場動向まで、幅広く解説していただきました。生徒からの質問にも一つひとつ丁寧にご回答いただき、ベトナム経済の成長と日本企業の関わりについて理解を深める大変実りある時間となりました。
During the visit to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Ho Chi Minh Office, the students were welcomed by Mr. Takuya Murase, who delivered an insightful presentation. While JETRO occasionally hosts student visits, these are primarily for university groups, making this opportunity for first-year high school students especially meaningful. In addition to explaining JETRO’s role in promoting trade and supporting business ties between Japan and Vietnam, Mr. Murase covered broader topics including Vietnam's position within ASEAN, regional characteristics, and local consumer and market trends. He also kindly took the time to answer all of the students' questions, providing them with a meaningful perspective on Vietnam's economic trajectory and its connection to Japanese business.
18日（火）午後 Vietstar Meiden社訪問 Visit to Vietstar Meiden Corporation
Vietstar Meiden社には、長年にわたり本校の生徒の研究活動に対し多大なご支援をいただいております。訪問は会社概要に関するご説明から始まり、続いて送電・配電設備の製造現場を見学させていただくことで、製品が社会へ届くまでの多様な工程とモノづくりの実像を体感しました。工場見学後は、生徒たちが取り組む研究プロジェクトの発表を行いました。今年度は「未利用資源」や「水質」などのテーマについてプレゼンテーションを実施しました。松原健三社長、原田吾一副社長、そして5名の現地スタッフの方々にご同席いただき、生徒たちの研究プロジェクトをより深めていけるよう、実践的なご意見やフィードバックを賜りました。また、フィールドワークとして、生徒たちは静岡の本格的なお抹茶を現地スタッフに試飲してもらい、ベトナムで親しまれている味覚との違いや反応を調査しました。
Vietstar Meiden's ongoing support has been invaluable to our students' projects for many years. The visit began with a short corporate presentation, followed by a tour of the factory floor where students saw power transmission and distribution equipment being assembled firsthand, gaining valuable insight into the processes behind critical infrastructure. Following the tour, students presented their ongoing research projects, which focused on themes such as unused resources and water quality. General Director Mr. Kenzo Matsubara, Deputy General Director Mr. Goichi Harada, Production Director Mr. Kenichiro Haida, and five local staff members attended the session, providing practical feedback to help students refine their research projects. As part of their fieldwork, the students served authentic Shizuoka matcha to the local staff to investigate how authentic Japanese matcha compares to products adapted to the local Vietnamese palate.
19日（水）午前 Duc Tri 中等高等学校訪問 School visit
今年で3回目となるDuc Tri 中等高等学校への訪問では、過去2年間に訪れた第2キャンパスではなく、初めて第1キャンパスを訪れました。校長先生をはじめ両キャンパスの副校長先生方、そして多くの生徒の皆様に温かく迎えていただき、歓迎式典ではベトナム独立の象徴である歴史的英雄「チュン姉妹（ハイ・バー・チュン）」を題材とした劇が披露されました。交流会では、高校2・3年生約20名の生徒の皆様と本校生徒の研究課題について活発な意見交換を行ったほか、折り紙を用いたワークショップや手作りのポストカードを通じた交流も行われました。同世代の生の視点や実情に触れることで、今後の課題探究の方向性を再考するとともに、異文化理解を深める大変有意義な機会となりました。
This year marked our third visit to Duc Tri Secondary and High School; having visited Campus 2 in previous years, our students visited Campus 1 for the first time. The students were warmly received by the principal, vice-principals from both campuses, and a large gathering of local students, who hosted a welcome ceremony featuring a short theatrical performance depicting the Trung Sisters, national heroines celebrated for leading Vietnam's early struggle for independence. Following the ceremony, our students engaged in research-focused discussions with approximately twenty 11th and 12th graders, gaining valuable local insights. The session also featured an origami activity conducted by our students and the gift of custom postcards crafted by the Duc Tri students. Interacting directly with peers their own age provided our students with fresh perspectives to refine their research and deepened their appreciation for cross-cultural collaboration.
19日（水）午後 市内フィールドワーク Walking tour
ホーチミン市内を歩いて散策し、歴史的・文化的に重要な名所を巡りました。残念ながらサイゴン大聖堂（聖母マリア教会）はまだ今年も改修工事中でしたが、人民委員会庁舎や統一会堂など、ベトナムの歴史の舞台となってきた史跡のスケール感には圧倒されました。活気あふれる街の雰囲気を肌で感じながら、ベトナムの歴史と現代の営みへの理解を深める貴重な散策となりました。
The students explored Ho Chi Minh City on foot, visiting several landmark sites of historical and cultural significance. Although the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica was still undergoing renovation this year, iconic sites such as the City People's Committee Building and Reunification Palace left a strong impression with their historical presence. Walking through the city allowed students to directly absorb its dynamic atmosphere and gain a richer context for Vietnam's history and development.
19日（水）夕方 文化体験 Cultural experience: Water puppet show
市内の専用劇場にて、ベトナムの伝統芸能である水上人形劇を鑑賞しました。神話や稲作文化の伝承をモチーフにした短編演目が次々と披露され、水面を縦横無尽に動き回る龍や農民の人形、伝統楽器による躍動感あふれる演奏と演出に引き込まれました。ベトナム語の台詞の細部までは解さずとも、そのコミカルで生き生きとした表現を通じて、伝統文化の深みに楽しみながら触れる貴重な機会となりました。
To conclude the day, students attended a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show at a dedicated local theater. The performance featured a series of short vignettes rooted in local mythology and agricultural heritage. The students were captivated by the expressive puppetry, which brought dragons, farmers, and aquatic figures dynamically across the water to the accompaniment of live music on traditional instruments. Even without fully understanding the Vietnamese dialogue, the lively visual storytelling provided an engaging and memorable window into Vietnam’s cultural traditions.
20日（木）ビノン・カカオ・パーク訪問 Visit to Binon Cacao Park
研修旅行の締めくくりとして、今年で3回目の訪問となるビノン・カカオ・パークを訪れました。同施設は学校旅行における定番の見学先ですが、本校生徒の研修に合わせて遠藤亜矢子CEO自らが内容をカスタマイズした特別な講話をしてくださり、起業家精神や持続可能な事業展開、気候変動の影響について深く学ぶことができました。農園ツアーでは、実際にカカオを収穫して果実を割り、内部を観察する体験も行いました。また、水質テーマのグループは農村部とホーチミン市内の水質環境の違いについて現地スタッフと熱心に議論し、農業廃棄物の活用を目指すグループは、カカオの無駄のない利用法やマーケティング戦略について遠藤様から直接学ぶなど、生徒一人ひとりの探究を深める非常に貴重な機会となりました。
For the final destination of our study trip, the students visited Binon Cacao Park, marking our third visit to the facility. While the park is a common stop for many Japanese school trips, CEO Ms. Ayako Endo kindly delivered a lecture customized to our students' specific learning objectives, focusing on entrepreneurship, sustainable business, and the impacts of climate change. During the guided farm tour, students gained hands-on experience harvesting cacao pods and cracking them open to inspect the raw beans inside. The visit offered invaluable field research opportunities. For instance, students researching water quality held an extensive discussion with local staff to compare rural water conditions with those in Ho Chi Minh City, while those focused on converting agricultural waste into valuable products learned directly from Ms. Endo about zero-waste cacao processing and marketing strategies.
生徒の感想
- 研修を通してベトナムの文化全体やベトナム人の性格、そしてベトナムの社会全体を見通すことができました。研修を終えて感じたこととしてベトナムは日本と、とても似ている国だと改めて感じました。ベトナムは社会主義国家にも関わらずここまで発展していることに驚きました。日本もベトナムから学ぶべきことがあり、またその逆もあると感じました。
- インフラや企業の見学では社会を支える大切さを学びました。Binon Cacao Parkでは「環境や高齢化などの課題解決には、活動を続けるための利益が不可欠である」ということがとても印象的でした。 日本とは異なる生活や文化がとても面白かったです。 現地で得た現場の視点や異文化の経験を、これからの学びや成長にしっかり生かしていきたいです。
- ベトナム研修では現地の意見を聞けてとてもいい経験をしたことに限らず、初めて海外に行って外国の人たちとたくさん関わってもっと自分の英語力や表現を広めていきたいなと感じました。ベトナム人はSNSをよく見ていることなどベトナムの街を歩いて実際に分かったことも多かったです。バイクの多さや道の整備がそこまで進んでいないのだと身をもって感じました。自分の知りたいこと、興味を広げるためにも海外に行ってみるということは凄くいいことだなと学びました。
- 現地で色々なことを教えてくださった皆様に本当に感謝しています。 今回の体験は私にとても良い影響を与えてくれました。 そう思ったのは、「挑戦は色鮮やかな世界を見せてくれる」ということ教えてくれたからです。 私は、海外に行ったことが一度もなかったので、とても不安でした。 ですが、不安に思いながらも踏み出してみたベトナムで、日本とは違う様々な景色を見てきました。 似ているようで違う文化の形、活気のある街の様子、経済的な動向など、様々な視点からベトナムを見て、こんなに面白い世界が広がっていたんだと感動しました。 さらに、自分のやっている研究のために色々な施設や会社で意見をもらいましたが、これも私にとって大きな刺激となりました。消費者にどのように自分たちの商品を売り出していけばいいかなど、ヒントを得ることができました。 大変なこともたくさんありましたが、これらの経験ができたので、恐れずに挑戦してみて本当によかったです。
- ベトナムでは、私が精算で困っている時、店員さんが日本円に換算して教えてくださったり、日本語を使って親切に対応をしてくださったり、日本人観光客慣れしている方が多い印象を受けました。また、想像以上にスーパーやコンビニで日本の商品がたくさん売られていたので、本当に日本と繋がりが深いのだと実感しました。ホテルの付近にはフランス調の建築が多く、過去の歴史がこれほど綺麗に、当たり前の風景として現代にあることに歴史のつながりを身近に感じて面白かったです。現地に住む人々は支配の歴史が濃く残ることに疑問を感じていないのかとも少し思いました。また、ベトナム語の表記がフランス語に似ていて、発音は中国語の響きに近い点に興味を惹かれました。一方で、人々の往来の中で、外来の文化を吸収しつつも、独自のベトナムらしさが確立されていることが分かりました。たくさんのバイクや、伝統的なノンラーを毎日目にすることができて、ベトナムにいる実感が湧きました。日本に戻ってきて、日本の良さもベトナムの良さも振り返ることができました。とても楽しかったので、また行きたいです。
